• Adobe CS4 package (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator & Acrobat)

• Quark Express 8 and more.

Having the software is only the beginning of getting a file to print correctly. Here are some helpful file tips that you can use when sending us a job:

• Whenever sending files to print you should send the working files
Make sure you send all the working files, not just the program file. This includes sending all the images used in the document as well as the fonts. Most software programs have a selection in the menu that will collect all these things for you and are typically called Package for print or something along those lines. However, programs like Word and Publisher do not provide this handy shortcut and most the time you have to collect your pieces by hand.

 

• Along with sending all the working files it is highly recommended that you send a high resolution PDF
In most cases this is the file that we will print from as long as it is created effectively. However, we often need the working files as well to make edits that the client requests after proofing and/or to fix files for color separation and plate making.
